Traditionally, it is the Bridesmaids who plan the bridal shower, as it is considered to be poor taste for the family or a relative to host a shower. Although it is not required, chances are the bride is counting on having one. Get together and discuss the budget and who will be planning for each part of the shower.

Date and Time: Pick the date, generally about a month or two before the wedding. Consider any out of town guests that may come and their schedules. It could make the difference on ifthey are able to attend or not. Be sure to run the date by the bride before sending out invitations!
*One tip that I have – please do NOT use paper or plastic plates, bowls, utensils, etc. unless absolutely necessary due a large number of guests. This is a bridal shower, and should be a classy event.
